Confidence, Trust... Skill
TOP SLING is a specialized helicopter external cargo (HESLO) training program for rated helicopter pilots designed to develop precision, confidence, and real-world operational capability in vertical reference flying.
Training is led by Felix Christians, a Fellow of the Royal Aeronautical Society (RAeS) with over 10,000 flight hours, including 3,500+ hours in external cargo / HESLO operations across construction, firefighting, and complex aerial work environments.
The program follows the core framework of the European HESLO standard (Levels 1–4), progressing pilots from basic short-line operations (≤20m) to advanced long-line precision work and complex load handling, consistent with internationally recognized guidance
